I just went here for a one hour Swedish-Thai massage. My masseuse was Nista. I am pretty sure that was one of the best massages I have ever had. I asked for medium pressure and she was right on point. She checked in with me at the start of the session, because I had indicated I wanted attention placed on my back on the entry form. I confirmed that's where I would like her to spend most of her time and she did. That was really cool. I know it sounds simple, but every time I fill out those forms they never ask me to confirm and I end up getting a total body massage with attention never placed in one single area as I had hoped. I want to try the hot stone massage next!

Shiatsu (literally, "finger pressure") is an ancient technique from Japan. It combines gentle stretches with finger pressure to work on different pressure points. The idea is to fix imbalances in the flow of energy in your body. Although there's no concrete evidence of Shiatsu's use as a healing method, people who have had this massage still report stress and pain relief. About.com's Alternative Medicine site says:

I've been here 3 times, as a former professional massage therapist, I have to say that these people do things far beyond what I was capable of and it's AMAZING! I've recommended it to all of my friends. My massage therapist PAULA have amazing skill and technique and are perfect for anyone like me who's worried about a lack of pressure. Nelly is wonderful if you just want a nice relaxing massage after a hard day. My preference is for PAULA who work very deep into tissue and do a lot of full body stretches (it's Thai massage after all!)

Came here needing a good massage after receiving a very weak massage while on vacation. Had a 60 min Thai massage with a male masseuse. If you like hard pressure, you can't go wrong with this massage. My masseuse really used firm pressure to target the knots in my shoulders. After an hour of this, my whole body felt a lot better. We were greeted by the owner, Tanya, and offered water as soon as we entered and waited for our room. She kept us company and led us to our room with two massage beds and another grand view. We were instructed on how to prepare as we waited a little longer for our masseuses to arrive. Being the awkward first timers we were, we actually didn't know what to actually do and expect. But our masseuses, Mary and Claudia, were very patient with us!

Highly Recommend Nista! Hands down, BEST masseuse I have ever had. I've been around the world and it's just always a constant search for the perfect masseuse, and I have finally found her! Just the right pressure, professionalism, personality, and technique! I've been having the Swedish/Thai full body almost every week, after a weeks of work, heaven. lol and if your like the minority of people like me who doesn't enjoy the stretching, they can tailor towards you without it as long as you let them know :)

Mary, my masseuse, began on my upper back and worked her way down to my legs and then arms (my favorite part). And surprisingly, I had a lot of knots, especially on my upper back. There were these two knots that would not budge unless I got the really deeeeep massage (but my body's too weak). Mary tried her best to press out my knots without hurting me (thumbs up to her!). She put coconut oil over my body as she worked, making it easier for area transitions. The oil felt more like a lotion combination, smoothing and rejuvenating my skin. In the end, we were offered water or tea. Siam Thai definitely takes pride in caring for their customers!

Thai massage has been practiced in America since the 1990s when Westerners began practicing it. Thai massage is more commonly found than it used to be at American spas, but you can't find it everywhere for two reasons. First, the spa needs a room with a large, padded mat in order to offer Thai massage. It's easiest if the room is always set up for Thai massage, and yet it is more of a specialty request. It just makes more economic sense to have the room set up with a table for a Swedish massage.

2. Generate force. When you’re putting pressure on a certain area of the body, use momentum and the full weight of your whole body to apply as much force as possible. Take advantage of gravity to hit your partner’s body with plenty of energy. Dig in by positioning your body over your arm so that your weight transfers to that specific spot. Give a hard rub to finish off the movement, and then prepare for the next area of her body. 

This is the real deal. Yes, the exterior (outside plaza) might make you think otherwise but trust me, the place is legit. Inside the room was clean; I liked how they had all white sheets and towels. Some massage places have darker sheets/towels which kind of grosses me out. Anyways, I went here based on my fellow yelpers' reviews and I was not disappointed. I've been having lower back pains, stiff neck and knotted shoulders (because I'm a stylist)....and let me tell ya, right after I was done with the 1.5 hour long massage, I felt like I was on a cloud. My back pain was gone and the lady loosened up all my knots. This is a Thai massage so just a little reminder that most of your massage is going to be done by feet, stepping on your back, etc.
I had a wonderful, relaxing massage at Siam Thai Massage over the weekend and I wanted to let everyone know about this hidden jewel new to Quincy. Siam Thai Massage just recently opened a few months ago so everything is clean and new there. First, I love walking into a place that makes you remove your shoes. Second, I love walking into a place where they remember who I am and actually greet me! I have been seeing Yupa for about two months now, and when I started, I could not play tennis, workout, run or move without being in excruciating back pain from a bulging disc in my lumbar. I don't even have to tell Yupa what to do. It's like she feels where the pain in my body is. I am hyper critical, and more likely to forget a massage place exists than return, but Metta Thai really has changed that. I love going here, I love the staff, I love the tea, and I highly recommend! Thank you for everything you do, Yupa!! You are seriously the best!
I had a great experience here. I have some problems with shin splints and tight muscles in my legs from playing soccer. I went here specifically because they offered a deep tissue massage which would help with that. I got there without an appointment and I was able to get an appoint in the next 10 minutes which was awesome. I was a little worried that the girls would not be able to massage my muscles strong enough, but boy was I wrong! They definitely know what they’re doing and massage just hard enough to get all the knots out, but not too hard to make it painful. The girl who massaged me also had some kind of intuition for exactly where the knots were and was able to target them really well. I think I will go here more often to help out my leg muscles.
