After losing two days from airfare and layovers of 2 week vacation then exploring Tokyo for approx 72 hours non-stop, I felt exhausted and stressed all over the place and was in dire need of a thoroughly massage. The subway system in Tokyo is very convenient so distance was not too much of a factor. I found Erawan Thai massage on yelp then based my final decision to come here from everyone's reviews of a it being a quality place and offer deep / hard massages. I received a warm and friendly greeting at the entrance. The decor and smells was very relaxing and a sight to remind of a traditional Thai massage spot. I was lucky to get a same-day Thai massage because this place accepts appointments only. The place is moderately sized and I feel the clientele defaults to a 60 min which was what I took and was well worth it. I wish I took the 90 minute massage given the 60 alone took all the pain and stress away but I felt I haven't done enough damage vacationing all over Japan yet to warrant a 90. Per my appt request I requested a hard massage, this expectation was met plus she focused on my problem areas when she asked me before we started. I highly recommend especially if you're looking to get a quality massage to get the kinks away from a long flight, jet lag, or traveling. Please note it was somewhat difficult to find as it's entrance is tucked further into a building besides the video game store. It's been about a week since I went. I was definitely pleased with my massage. I have gone to a place in mililani but My husbands client recommended I go here so I said "hey why not it's another massage therapist recommending me go there" so I did. It was the best he ever. A couple days after the Thai massage, my back pain seemed worse than ever. I updated my review and was almost immediately contacted my Siam. They really care about how their customers feel! We spoke and she suggested I try the aroma massage instead. Thai massage just isn't for everyone I think! Also, I really didn't know what I was getting myself into and probably didn't need strong pressure. Anyway, I came back for the aroma which is like a combination of Swedish & Thai - it was great. All the stretching and deep muscle work of Thai with the relaxation of a Swedish massage. I'll definitely be back for another! Thanks Siam Orchid!
